Yorkshire Children's Centre

The brief for this project was to provide additional facilities to the very successful Yorkshire Children's Centre. The extension was to be located in a large void to the side of the existing listed building. The design references the existing building without trying to copy it. Regimented window patterns not only complement the existing building but also characterise the adjacent railway lines. The sympathetic use of contemporary industrial materials and local ashlar stone work well within this setting.
