Merrie England

One of our longstanding clients operates a coffee shop located at the corner of Halifax’s listed indoor market hall. The existing shopfront was outdated, and as part of ongoing improvements to their local properties, Merrie England proposed a sensitive update.

Given the building’s listed status, the new shopfront was designed in close collaboration with the local authority conservation department. The finished design faithfully reinterprets original features, including curved glass entrance panels and intricate timber frames, preserving the historic character while refreshing the shop’s appearance.
