Meltham Red

This two-story extension was the result of a brief that once again strived to provide a much-improved house and garden relationship. The existing house had one rear door, meaning the only access to the garden was via the house utility. The predominantly glazed extension houses a garden room at ground level and a galleried workspace with a Juliet balcony on the first floor. The extension was constructed with a combination of natural stone and aluminium frame glass. The completed extension successfully brings the garden into both the ground and first floors.
