Extensions
The requirement was to bring more light into what was a dark north facing lounge. We worked closely with Matt to look at how this could be done as there was already an extension on the property, that could have made the project technically complex. However, the solution he came up with was amazing. By providing a digital walkthrough of the proposed development it even allowed us to consider and visualise the interior design prior to any work commencing. Matt completed the planning process and then his great relationship with the contractors ensured that everything was delivered as intended. The result is that the extension has completely transformed our living space. I would certainly recommend Northern Design Partnership.
Black Horse Extension
Extensions Silkstone Common, Barnsley 2022
This extension involved creating a link between two previously formed extensions. The existing roof pitch complications resulted in a flat roof form being the only solution to bridge the two spaces. With the rear garden being north-facing, sunlight in the main living room was insufficient. A new 1.5 x 3-meter lantern positioned centrally allows direct sunlight to enter the room during the summer months, completely changing the feel of the living space. We were involved in this project through all stages from the initial survey through to completion.
