This house was designed for a longstanding developer client to sell. The corner site is in a very sought-after area, however, was also within a conservation area. Following meetings with the local authority conservation team, it was clear that a contemporary property, as opposed to a pastiche of surrounding properties, would receive planning support. The design combines a range of traditional materials (brick, render, blue slate), with contemporary details and features (GRP fascias, soffits, and banding along with anthracite aluminium windows. The timber-framed house was completed in early 2017.
